Privacy & cookies
This page explains, in plain terms, what happens to data when you visit the-band.co.uk. The short version: the site itself collects very little, and asks for nothing personal.
What this site collects
the-band.co.uk does not ask you to register, and does not collect names, email addresses or payment details through the site. It sets no advertising cookies of its own.
Third parties
A few features rely on third parties, who may set their own cookies or receive your IP address when their content loads:
- YouTube — video clips are embedded using YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode and only load after you click play. Until you click, no contact is made with YouTube. Once you play a video, YouTube's own privacy policy applies.
- Affiliate partners (Amazon, eBay and others) — if you click an affiliate link, the retailer may set a cookie to attribute any purchase. See our affiliate disclosure.
- Web fonts — fonts are served by Adobe Fonts and Google Fonts, which may log the request to deliver the font files.
- Hosting & analytics — the web host keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and basic, aggregate traffic statistics. Any analytics used are privacy-friendly and do not profile individuals.
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the site will still work. Because the click-to-play design means YouTube only loads on request, simply not clicking a video keeps that interaction private.
